Retro Fitness, a national low-cost fitness franchise, appointed Mike Rogers to be the company’s first chief operations officer. Rogers most recently served as director of license store operations at Starbucks Coffee Company, where he led the brand through record growth for more than 20 years.
With more than 30 years of restaurant, retail and franchise leadership experience, Rogers is an expert at building customer and shareholder value through assembling teams in both corporate and franchise consultant models. As chief operations officer, Rogers will oversee the company’s ongoing operations and procedures.
“We’re thrilled to add another tremendously talented individual to our team that is passionate about moving our brand forward,” said Eric Casaburi, CEO and founder of Retro Fitness, which has more than 150 gyms open in 16 states. The fitness franchise opened 14 gyms and signed more than 20 new franchise agreements for new or emerging market development in 2016.
Casaburi continued, “Retro Fitness is poised for growth and innovation. Mike Rogers is a strategic hire that will ensure we are producing real results. I know he will impact our future story immensely.”
During his career with Starbucks, Rogers worked in executive operation roles within the organization, specializing in progressive restaurant and retail leadership, product development, procurement, enterprise project management, business to business consulting, human resources, strategic planning, capital project management and more.
Before holding director-level positions for 15 years, Rogers built a strong corporate office track record while proving his ability to influence organizational change and deliver enterprise capital proposals for board level approval. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
