Osprey Packs hired Scott Maslen as senior country director, Vietnam. Maslen will report directly to Chris Graham, senior vice president of product, who is relocating to the United Kingdom.
Maslen will be based in Osprey’s Ho Chi Minh City Design and Development office located near Osprey’s factories.
Maslen will be responsible for overseeing the development, production and design operations of Osprey Packs in Vietnam. Prior to joining Osprey, Maslen served as the director of product safety and quality for Gerber Legendary Blades, director of Vietnam operations for Timberland as well manager of footwear quality, fit, materials and innovation for Columbia Sportswear.
“After an extensive recruitment search, it became clear Scott would make a clear difference to our team in terms of his in-depth industry knowledge and expertise,” said Senior Vice President of Product Chris Graham. “Through his diverse industry experience, he has demonstrated a proven record and thorough understanding of what it takes to get the very best products to a global marketplace.”
After more than 10 years residing and working in South East Asia, Chris Graham will be relocating back to the U.K. where he will continue to oversee all aspects of the product development and production calendar. Graham will also make strategic visits to Osprey’s Vietnam office to continue working with the Design, Industrialization, Sourcing, Production and Environmental Studies Teams based in Ho Chi Minh City. Finally, Graham will continue to work closely with Mike Pfotenhauer, Osprey founder and director of innovation.
