On the heels of a transition of ownership of the US based Alpina Sports Corp, more news; the organization announces it has expanded its distribution into Canada. Heading the Canadian sales team will be Mike Doble, National Sales Manager who joined Alpina Sports Canada from a similar position at Roces just three months ago. Warehousing will be out of Montreal for Canada.

According to Frank Thibodeau, ASC’s new president/CEO ” It had become clear during the normal course of communications with Alpina Ziri, that there was an interest in having a single distributor for North America…as we began researching the possibilities, we found that all nearly all the brands that ASC currently represented in the US shared the same interest…from there things fell into place.”

According to Doble “It was an opportunity I couldn’t pass-up…Alpina Sports has a solid reputation that extends across the border, and the products they carry are very top tier, a sales manager’s dream team”.

The product mix for Alpina Sports Canada will be Alpina cross-country, alpine and trekking boots, Alpina cross-country skis & poles, Rottefella cross-country and telemark bindings, Crispi telemark boots, Masters alpine and trekking Poles, Hamax and Norsk premier snow sleds. Notably missing will be Madshus which will continue to be handled by K2 Canada. But as Doble noted; ” ASC has a long standing close relationship with Madshus, we most certainly have plans to tightly coordinate our sales efforts for our dealers benefit”

ASC will be attending the NSIA Show, booth 452, and its reps will also attend the SIA in Vegas.

All administrative and customer support will come from the well established US home office. “We are such close neighbors, and ASC US is just so seasoned at assisting the trade that we believe this will help to assure stellar dealer support, continued Thibodeau.
