361 Degrees USA reported that it added 575 new doors during the first quarter while doubling its sales numbers.

The U.S. arm of the publicly-traded Chinese footwear and apparel giant said it plans to increase its marketing spend by 50 percent in 2017 with a focus on both trade and consumer media.  The brand has also partnered with athletes including Sarah Crouch, Morgan Pearson, Alicia Kaye, Jarrod Shoemaker and Taylor Reid.

“Many running stores say that a sign of a good shoe is one that you do not even know you have it on,” stated 361 Degrees USA President, James Monahan.  “That’s why our product message is simple: Build a shoe that fits and feels good and therefore provides the greatest level of protection to the runner.”

In the second half of the year, 361 Degrees is introducing the 361-MERAKI, a neutral shoe showcasing the brand’s proprietary QU!KFOAM midsole along with the 361-SPINJECT, a versatile trainer with an engineered knit upper for comfort and style. Both styles will hit the shelves starting August 1.
