Sport Chalet, Inc. is proud to celebrate the grand openings of its new 42,000+ sq. ft. stores in the cities of Elk Grove and Visalia, California. Both locations feature an on-site SCUBA training pool. These are the Company's 35th and 36th store locations.
At Elk Grove, a grand opening celebration and sale is scheduled for Friday, November 12th through Sunday, November 14th. Grand opening activities will include the Gale Webb Extreme Sports & Air Show, an appearance by 2004 U.S. Boxing Gold Medalist Andre Ward, fishing seminars, sports demonstrations and free giveaways. On Friday, Mayor Sophia Scherman, members of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Sport Chalet General Manager, Mike Wendell, will kick off the festivities with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Elk Grove High School marching band will perform at the opening ceremony.
At Visalia, a grand opening celebration and sale is scheduled for Friday, November 19th through Sunday, November 21st. Activities will include the Pacific Cycle Bike Show, an appearance by 2004 U.S. Softball Gold Medalist Laura Berg, fishing seminars, sports demonstrations and free giveaways. On Friday, a ribbon cutting event will mark the start of the festivities. Mayor Bob Link, Vice Mayor Phil Cox, members of the Visalia Chamber of Commerce and Sport Chalet General Manager, Herb Zinman, will cut the ribbon. The Golden West High School marching band will perform during the event.
At both locations, Sport Chalet will have several parking lot activities, including a free Rock Climbing Wall and Bungee Trampoline, vendor booths showcasing new products and radio station remotes. Customers may enter to win a $1,000 Sport Package, including a complete Columbia camping gear and apparel set, a Nirve or Nishiki bike, a heart rate monitor from MioSHAPE, and a pair of Arnette sunglasses. In addition, hourly prizes will be drawn all weekend long.
