Slackline Industries has partnered with Trees for the Future and launched a zero waste packaging initiative.
New slackline kits from Slackline Industries will come with zero waste packaging – an eco-friendly, reusable mesh bag rather than a disposable cardboard box – and for each slackline sold, Trees for the Future will plant a tree to help build sustainable communities around the world.
“Encouraging people to get outside, to enjoy nature and trees, is the beating heart of all we do at this company,” said Frankie Najera, marketing director at Slackline Industries. “So helping to reduce pressure on the waste stream and supporting a fantastic organization that plants trees for people that really need them came naturally.”
Each zero waste slackline kit includes tree protection to ensure bark is not damaged when using trees as slackline anchors.
“As a small business, how your product looks is very important, but it’s also important to think about the effect that packaging has on the environment,” said Ricardo Bottome, founder and CEO of Slackline Industries. “Our zero waste concept is proof that with some pretty simple redesigns, packaging can be both eco-friendly and economical.”
