Nike will open a flagship store in Moscow on Air Max Day, March 26.
The store is another one of its recent statement locations that “transform sport retail through digitally connected experiences.” Recent openings have included Nike Soho last year and Nike Miami and the Nike & Jordan Basketball Experience Store in Beijing this year.
“Located in the heart of Moscow on Kuznetskiy Most street, the five-story, multi-sport, 23,455-square-foot store — operated by Nike Partner, A3 Retail Group — includes a Nike+ Running Trial Zone (ground floor), Nike+ Football Trial Zone (basement floor) and Personalization areas (all floors) for product customization,” Nike wrote in a statement. “The art nouveau building, built in 1903 by a renowned Russian architect, was known as the state house of fashion in the ‘40s. The Nike Design team has restored the façade to expose the original gilded branding, and the entrance of the store will have a heritage plaque nodding to its rich history.”
Nike Moscow is located at Kuznetskiy Most, 14 in Moscow.
