After receiving a customer complaint about its Iverson/Answer mid and low-athletic toddler shoes, Reebok has voluntarily recalled the product, in cooperation with the CPSC. The company stated in a release that the I-3 logo on the shoes was easily removed and presented a choking hazard. The customers involved in the complaint found their toddler mouthing the label, and removed it with any harm to the child.
Roughly 140,000 pairs of the shoes were produced and sold at Reebok, independent retailers, children's apparel and athletic shoe stores nationwide from March 2004 through August 2004. Reebok and the CPSC have stated that Consumers should immediately take these shoes away from young children and contact Reebok to receive a refund.
