According to a report from the New York Post, Adidas is struggling to sell TaylorMade due to continued losses at the golf-equipment manufacturer.

The report indicated that losses have been higher than many buyers anticipated. Newer challenges facing the brand include the liquidations last year of Sports Authority and Goldsmith, weakening performances at some likely strategic acquirers and renewed momentum at Callaway.

Last May, Adidas said it was exploring the sale of its golf equipment segment, which includes TaylorMade as well as two smaller brands, Adams and Ashworth. The sale was in part due to the declining popularity of the sport.

In the nine months, sales increased 2.2 percent to €693 million ($734 million).
