Napster officially launched a new partnership with two Seattle-based winter sports brands – Ride Snowboards and Line Skis – to give subscribers an inside look into the music libraries of the best in the world of skiing and snowboarding. Napster will feature curated playlists throughout the course of the 2017 season and beyond, starting with a selection from Ride pro snowboarder Hana Beaman, and Line pro skier Eric Pollard.
“At Napster, we want our subscribers to have the best music for every moment, whether it’s in the car, in the gym, or on the mountains,” said Napster CFO Ethan Rudin. “Building unique partnerships with great lifestyle brands like Ride and Line is a natural fit for us, and we’re thrilled to share handpicked favorites from Ride and Line Pro skiers and snowboarders so all music fans can get a glimpse of these athletes’ personal soundtracks year-round.”
Napster will release new playlists every other week, including music curated by Ride pros Jake Blauvelt, Dillon Ojo, Jake Welch, Danimals and Line pros Khai Krepela, Tom Wallisch and Will Wesson, with additional collaboration and promotions in the coming months.
To celebrate the launch, fans will have the chance to enter Ride and Line’s monthly photo contest to win custom gear designed by two Seattle-based artists.
