Gander Mountain will enter the Texas market with the opening of a 87,000 square foot store in Houston in October 2004. This location will join the Corsicana store scheduled to open in August and the Amarillo store scheduled for opening in September. The planned store continues the trend of expansion for Gander Mountain in 2004.

The Gander Mountain store will employ a sales staff of approximately 125 people to provide service to area outdoor enthusiasts. In addition, customers will find ATV sales & service, in-store professional gunsmith, buy and sell used firearms, full service archery shop with shooting lanes, hunting and fishing license sales, live bait shop with early open hours and a Gander Lodge meeting space available to local organizations free of charge.
