Outdoor brand Royal Robbins named former Specialized Bicycles executive Joseph Brunetti as its new chief financial officer.
“I’m excited to welcome such an accomplished executive to the Royal Robbins family,” said Michael Millenacker, CEO of Royal Robbins. “Joe is an essential component to our accelerated growth plans and we look forward to him playing an integral role on our executive leadership team.”
Brunetti served as the U.S. chief operating officer of Specialized Bicycles, 2010 to 2015, where he drove a 65-percent increase in profit growth, officials said. He previously served as chief financial officer at CamelBak, 1999-2008, where he managed rapid growth in excess of 35 percent per year through the sale of the company to a private equity firm. He also spent time at Bell Sports Inc. and Giro Sport Design Inc. where he oversaw finance operations.
“I’ve long respected Royal Robbins’ rich heritage and loyal following,” Brunetti said. “I am excited to join a team with a unique combination of experience and leadership from Michael and Liz [Braund, head of product], deep connection to Liz and Royal Robbins and their values, and incredible energy driving into the future.”
Brunetti is a longtime Bay Area resident, having received his MBA at Berkeley (Haas). He is a competitive endurance athlete, with five Ironman triathlons and several marathons on his resumé.
