Shoe Carnival sales for the five-week period ended July 3, 2004 increased 2.2% to $48.6 million from sales of $47.5 million for the five-week period ended July 5, 2003. Comparable store sales decreased 4.6% in June 2004.
Sales for the first five months of 2004 increased 5.9% to $237.1 million from sales of $224.0 million for the first five months of 2003. Comparable store sales decreased 2.1% for the twenty-two week period.
