AthleteReg, a company that specializes in registration services for endurance races, will increase its financial commitment to endurance sports programs with the establishment of a new grant program.
The new initiative has been launched through the company’s BikeReg, RunReg, TriReg and SkiReg platforms, with $10,000 in grant funding available for selected programs.
In 2016 AthleteReg provided nearly $100,000 in sponsorship to clubs, programs, events and teams promoting endurance sports throughout North America. This support ranges from community 5k’s to elite teams, youth development programs and advocacy organizations.
“Since our founding in 1999, we’ve made it a priority to support the sports we love,” said Ross Krause, AthleteReg CEO. “We are excited to start this new grant program for 2017 that will help continue this tradition and expand our support.”
Grants will range from $500 to $2,000, and are limited to 10 recipients and $10,000 total. Organizations, teams and individuals focused on endurance sports are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to programs that focus on both athletic and personal development, or that provide greater access to sport.
Grant applications must be submitted by January 9, 2017. Winners will be announced in February and funds will be distributed in March.
