Summit Sales NW, an outdoor sales agency in the Pacific Northwest, hired Carmi Schulman as marketing manager and Andy Dahlen as sales representative.
Schulman joins the agency from Seattle-based K2 Sports, where he worked most recently as marketing and sales manager for Madshus cross-country skis. In his time at K2, he helped oversee the brand development for Madshus, Atlas Snowshoes, Tubbs Snowshoes and K2 Skates through digital marketing efforts, events, elite athlete management and grassroots ambassador programs.
In this new role for the agency, Schulman will help strengthen the agencies’ portfolio of brands in the Pacific Northwest territories while assisting with any marketing efforts at the retailer level.
“The creation of the marketing manager position reflects our commitment to supporting our retail partners,” said Kris Stahl, co-owner of Summit Sales NW. “In this role, Carmi will bring a set of skills and talent to Summit Sales that will better position us to leverage the assets of our brands and serve the needs of our customers.”
Dahlen, a Washington native, comes to Summit Sales NW after working for the local Seattle store Second Ascent. His time there included responsibilities as the footwear buyer and store manager. He also spent several seasons as a climbing guide in the Cascade Mountains with the guide service Mountain Madness. A passionate climber, Dahlen will bring his experience and expertise to grow and service the Washington territory.
“The addition of Andy to our sales team has allowed us to better serve our existing customers while seeking out new sales opportunities in the state of Washington. In his first few months on the job, his enthusiasm and professionalism have been great assets as he begins to build relationships with his customers,” said Rob Birzell, co-owner of Summit Sales NW.
With these two hires, the Summit Sales team now consists of six members including principals Kris Stahl and Rob Birzell, as well as associates Justin McGregor and Drew Hambleton.
Seattle-based Summit Sales NW represents outdoor brands in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Its current vendor portfolio consists of Osprey Packs, Cascade Designs, Scarpa, G3 and The Landmark Project.
