Vibram released its Vibram Arctic Grip technology, a new sole technology and weather gripping system. Six Wolverine Worldwide brands, including Merrell, Sperry, Hush Puppies, Wolverine, Saucony and Cat Footwear, will serve as exclusive Arctic Grip launch partners, with products now available in retail stores nationwide.
“Vibram Arctic Grip is the most advanced cold weather gripping system ever created by Vibram,” said Allon Cohne, chief marketing officer at Vibram USA. “It’s specifically designed for slippery wet ice and the reaction from those who’ve tested it says it all. We took to the streets with ice ramps and let the discernable consumer react. Then we just let the camera roll (video). The product really does its own marketing.”
In conjunction with Vibram Arctic Grip’s launch available at retail stores, Vibram USA is in the midst of a nationwide consumer activation tour to demonstrate the improvements this sole technology represents. The next stop for the Vibram Arctic Grip Tour is on Thursday, November 10 at New York City’s Union Square from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
