Thule has announced the hiring of Chris Roberts as the Southeastern Thule Envoy. Launched in 2003, the Thule Envoy program was created to promote dealer and consumer relations through hosting in-store training, assisting with retailer sales events, and attending outdoor related events. Roberts will be based from his home in North Carolina and will report to Mike Moore, Thule Western and Southeastern Zone Manager.
“We had such a great response to the program last year from our dealers that we decided to expand the program,” said Moore. “Chris's retail and manufacturing experience will be a great asset, and we are excited about providing the same support to the Southeast as we did last year in the West.”
Roberts was most recently the Store Manager of Get:Outdoors (formerly Pro Canoe and Kayak) in Greensboro, NC. Prior to working at Get:Outdoors, Roberts served for four years as the Rotomolding Manager at Confluence Watersports, manufacturer of Wave Sport and Wilderness Systems kayaks and Mad River Canoe.
Roberts is a serious boater with over twenty five years of whitewater kayaking experience. When not on the water or behind the wheel of Thule Envoy Transport 2, Roberts can be found out on the trail mountain biking or skiing.
