Deckers Brands appointed Maggie Winkel as the general manager of Teva.
Winkel brings over 20 years of experience from prominent brands, including Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., The Gap, Ann Taylor and Tommy Bahama across both retail and wholesale business.
She most recently was the integrated marketplace director for Jordan, North America at Nike. In her role at Nike, she spearheaded merchandising strategies, expanded the brand’s apparel market in the U.S. and improved retail through enhanced product and consumer experiences. Prior to her tenure at Nike, Winkel led the women’s denim business at Levi’s managing merchandising, product development, marketing and planning.
Winkel’s role as the general manager of Teva, a new role under the Performance Lifestyle Group at Deckers Brands, will be effective on October 24, 2016. In her new position as the general manager of Teva, Winkel will manage global product and brand marketing for Teva in addition to their U.S. wholesale business.
