Dick’s Sporting Goods announced grand opening events for five stores. The locations are in Boca Raton, FL; Morristown, TN; New Philadelphia, OH; Springfield, OH; and Olympia, WA.
All stores will open Friday, October 28, with grand opening celebrations held throughout that weekend.
The Olympia, WA location will be located at Capital Mall at 625 Black Lake Blvd. SW. It will represent the company’s 10th store in Washington. Former Seattle designated hitter and current coach Edgar Martinez will make an in-store appearance from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Springfield, OH store will be located at Bechtle Crossing at 1690 N. Bechtle Avenue, while the New Philadelphia, OH will open at New Towne Mall at 400 Mill Avenue SE. The openings will give the retailer 40 stores in Ohio. Former running back Archie Griffin will make an in-store appearance at both stores over the weekend.
The Boca Raton, FL location will open at Mission Bay Plaza at 20429 South State Road 7 and will represent its 36th store in Florida. Captain Blair Wiggins, Addictive Fishing host, will make an in-store appearance on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Former defensive end and linebacker Jason Taylor will make an in-store appearance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The Morristown, TN location will open at College Square Mall at 2550 E Morris Blvd. The opening will give the retailer 17 stores in Tennessee. Former college football coach Phil Fulmer will make an in-store appearance from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Frida,y and former college and pro wide receiver Peerless Price will make an in-store appearance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
