RockyMounts, the Boulder, CO automobile rack systems designed for cyclists, mountain bikers, surfers, skiers, snowboarders and outdoor enthusiasts, appointed Rod Judd to the newly created position of sales director.

Judd will join the company September 19 in Las Vegas at the Interbike International Bicycle Expo. He reports to President Bruno Maier.

“We couldn’t be happier that Rod is joining us,” said Maier. “RockyMounts has been on a growth trajectory for two years, and now it’s time to place a strong leader at the head of sales. Rod is going to help build out and manage our sales force.”

Judd previously served as the associate director of development of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), where he managed sales efforts and contributed to revenue growth for the organization.

Prior to IMBA, he worked in business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales for Catalyst Communications, Inside Communications and Primedia, magazine and media companies in the cycling and outdoor recreation industries. He specializes in marketing, forecasting, campaign analysis and reporting.

At RockyMounts, Judd will develop the outside sales representatives network, manage internal sales staff, contribute to new product and category launches, support the RockyMounts IBD network and develop sales opportunities.

“We needed to find a sales director who had solid dealer relationships, a great track record, and the ability to manage and build a sales department. Rod is uniquely qualified to guide our strategic vision and lead our sales efforts with IBDs,” Maier concluded.
