Nuun & Co., a hydration brand, partnered with exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist Stacy Sims to promote education, product innovation and clean living initiatives.
The partnership is intended to capitalize on what Nuun sees as a “shift occurring in the industry away from high sugar, artificially sweetened products,” according to a company press release.
“The Nuun team is honored to work alongside Stacy, one of the most accomplished sport scientists in the world. Her passion for improving health and performance along with her desire to share her knowledge is truly remarkable,” said Kevin Rutherford, Nuun’s president and CEO.
Sims is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Waikato Adams Centre of High Performance. “I truly appreciate and believe in Nuun’s holistic approach to sports hydration, and this really attracted me to working with their team,” she said.
The partnership will kick off at Interbike on September 21.
