Confluence Outdoor is sending six of its eight paddlesports brands to Surf Expo, which is opening its floor to kayak, canoe and paddle markets for the first time.
Wilderness Systems kayaks and accessories, Perception and Dagger kayaks, Adventure Technology paddles, and Harmony accessories will be at Booth #2242. Boardworks, makers of leading surf and stand up paddleboards, will be at Booth #2042.
“Surf Expo’s expansion creates a convergence between outdoor, paddling and watersports, which we view as critical to the vitality of the market,” said Sue Rechner, president and CEO of Confluence Outdoor. “As a leader in the industry, we see this transition as a pinnacle one; we believe the growth and development of Surf Expo will make it the go-to marketplace where all watersports brands and retailers will do business.”
Confluence will showcase its new and updated product, including Dagger’s Kaos for surf (pictured here), Perception’s SUP-influenced Hi Life for recreational fun, and Boardworks’ Rukus for all-around use. Wilderness Systems, the kayak fishing brand, will also showcase its new tri-powered kayaks, the Radar 115 and Radar 135, and its new propulsion technologies: the patent-pending Helix PD Pedal Drive and Helix MD Motor Drive. Surf Expo’s decision to diversify its products gives companies like Confluence increased visibility with buyers and retailers a valuable one-stop-shop event for the watersports industry.
“Surf Expo is excited to welcome the industry-leading Confluence brands to our market as we expand our water sports offering to include kayak and canoe this September,” said Roy Turner, senior vice president and group show director for Surf Expo. “Hard goods are the cornerstone for Surf Expo’s success and the addition of new paddlesports to our surf, wake, wind, SUP and kite markets allow us to now service all aspects of the water enthusiast business.”
