Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. reported that total sales for the four weeks of November of fiscal 2003 were $84.3 million, an increase of 22.4 percent over total sales of $68.9 million for the four weeks of November of fiscal 2002. Company same store sales increased 11.7 percent for the comparable four-week period ended Nov. 29, 2003 with PacSun same store sales up 11.4 percent and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 13.9 percent.
“Our holiday business got off to a strong start with an 11.7 percent increase in same store sales for November,” stated Greg Weaver, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Both PacSun and d.e.m.o. generated double digit increases. We remain confident about our business and assortments as we enter December,” concluded Mr. Weaver.
Total sales for the first 10 months of fiscal 2003 (43 weeks) were $798.3 million, an increase of 22.9 percent over total sales of $649.7 million for the first 10 months of fiscal 2002 (43 weeks). Company same store sales increased 13.4 percent for the first 10 months of fiscal 2003 with PacSun same store sales up 12.3 percent and d.e.m.o. same store sales up 24.1 percent.
