Pedego Electric Bikes dealers Terry and Jean Gehrke on Tuesday celebrated the grand opening of their second – and the brand’s fifth – store in Colorado.
The Pedego Denver – Downtown store, which is located at 1335 Tremont Place, offers electric bikes tours, rentals and sales. The Gehrkes also own the Pedego Denver-North store, located at 7100 Broadway in Denver. There are also Pedego stores in Aurora, Breckenridge and Vail.
“Denver residents and visitors alike can enjoy our hundreds of miles of dedicated bike paths and marked bike lanes thanks to powerful Pedego electric bikes,” Terry Gehrke said. “The whisper-quiet electric motors help riders soar up hills and slice through headwinds.”
The new Pedego store is only two blocks from the Colorado Convention Center and right in the heart of the hotel district. “From Pedego Denver-Downtown’s location, tourists can easily rent electric bikes or take guided tours to see the sites, and their stay in Denver becomes absolutely spectacular as they zip around town,” said Jean Gehrke.
The Grand Opening Celebration was attended by local dignitaries from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, executives from California-based Pedego Electric Bikes and members of the media.
Pedego, which is based in Fountain Valley, Calif. and was founded in 2008, manufactures 10 e-bike models, including cruisers, tandems, commuters, fat-tire bikes, mountain bikes, cargo bikes and a convenient electric folding bike. The bikes are sold at 70 Pedego-branded stores and hundreds of independent electric bike dealers worldwide.
