Vibram is sponsoring the Cotopaxi Questival Adventure Race in Boston to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the launch of its iconic Vibram Five Finger articulated toe shoes.
“We are very excited to partner with Cotopaxi for the Questival Adventure Race as it is taking place in Boston, our backyard,” said Victoria Katchmar, events and marketing coordinator for Vibram USA. “This race is all about spurring adventure and challenging yourself, which are the core values of Vibram FiveFingers.”
Questival is a 24-hour race that invites teams to participate in unique challenges that encourage fun and exploration in their city and state. Teams of two to six people compete by earning points for completing challenges that are meant to push individuals and to build camaraderie. Racers compete to win up to $10,000 in prizes.
Vibram will have a booth at the Questival pre-festival party from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, May 27, in Boston’s Christopher Columbus Park. There will be Vibram FiveFingers available for demo and a slack line setup, and participants who cross the slack line in a pair of FiveFingers will win prizes.
The Vibram Newbury Street store will serve as a checkpoint 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, during the race. At the store, teams will have to complete a series of disc golf shots. The three teams to earn the most points at the conclusion of the race will also win free pairs of FiveFingers, along with other Vibram products.
