Amerex Group Inc. has announced that Renee McGovern has joined the firm as President of the Amerex Mens and Ladies Group. She reports to Chief Executive Officer, Glenn Palmer.

McGovern, is responsible for brand design and development, sales and marketing, strategic planning, retail partnerships, and operational control. The brands under her supervision are: Jones New Yorkµ, Gerryµ, Weather Tamerµ, One Madisonµ, Gloria Vanderbiltµ, Mulberry Streetµ, Bert Pulitzerµ, Adolfoµ, Alpine Studioµ, Staticµ, Muddµ, Rampageµ, and Wrangler Heroµ.

Ms. McGovern, most recently served as President of Liz Claiborne¡¦s Special Markets Villager and Axcess brands. Prior to joining Liz, Ms. McGovern was President of the David Dart Design Group a division of the Kellwood Company. Earlier, she spent 10 years at Carole Little where she began as an Account Executive and left as Senior Vice President. Previously, Ms. McGovern held buying positions at both Bullocks; a division of Federated Department Stores and Nordstrom.
