Adidas signed a five-year deal to sponsor Louisiana Tech across its 16 sports.
The deal runs through 2021-22 and is worth $3.025 million. Louisiana Tech will receive $650,000 in product the first year then $485,000 in the four subsequent years. The contract will go into effect July 2016 for all sports except women's basketball, which has one year left on its deal with Under Armour.
The university currently works with several brands. Nike sponsors football and men's basketball. Adidas supported baseball, Under Armour had a deal with women's basketball and New Balance provided gear to the softball program.
Other Adidas schools include North Carolina, Michigan, Nebraska, Arizona State and Texas A&M.
