Vaude, the German mountain sports brand, is now taking over the iPhone outdoor travel app Epiclist, adding a further facet to its comprehensive commitment to sustainability.
With Epiclist Vaude will not only bring users closer to the beauty and uniqueness of nature via their smartphone, it will also sensitize users to environmental protection and nature conservation issues. In the future, this app will allow Vaude to reach outdoor and travel enthusiasts, providing them with the inspiration and useful information and tips they need to take on their next outdoor adventure.
Manfred Meindl, head of online marketing at Vaude, said, “We are delighted to enter the app stores with an application that suits us perfectly. Vaude is reacting to the changing behavior of its consumers and will now maintain direct contact with its target group via smartphone. In addition, the app provides users with real added value.” The sustainable innovative outdoor outfitter Vaude will now continue to develop the English-language app for explorers on its own. Epiclist is compatible with the operating system Apple iOS.
Epiclist – meeting point of the travel community
Through Epiclist, users will have a simple and practical way to find out more about fascinating nature experiences and exciting adventures. At the same time the app will provide users with the inspiration they may need to plan their own trips, document the trips they take and to share with friends all their experiences. So far, more than 13,000 travel experiences with photos, locations and plans have been posted on Epiclist by the community. Users from over 70 countries have used the free iPhone app to document their adventures in Norway, hikes in Patagonia, backpacking trips through Thailand and climbing trips around Spain, to mention only a few. Famous explorers and adventurers such as Matt Prior, Dave Cornthwaite, Al Humphreys, Brendan van Son, Charli Moore, Emily Penn and Susi Mai have supported the travel community and already contributed their travel experiences.
