Nike and Duke signed a 12-year extension to their deal supplying Blue Devils sports teams with uniforms, footwear and athletic apparel.
The school announced the extension through 2027. Terms were not disclosed.
“To be sure, Duke Athletics and Nike have been partners since 1992, wherein Blue Devil student-athletes have been outfitted with excellent footwear and apparel products,” said Kevin White, Duke's athletics director, in a statement. “Today's announcement relative to this unique relationship signals yet another long-term agreement, which will provide more cutting edge product innovation in addition to significant financial resources, whereby the student-athlete experience will be greatly enhanced both in and away from competition – well into the foreseeable future.”
“Duke University is a proven leader in higher education and college sports, and we are especially excited to extend our support of Blue Devil student-athletes, coaches, and programs,” said Joaquin Hidalgo, president and GM of Nike North America. “Duke Athletics is driven by inspired leadership, and commitment to excellence and innovation, which collectively serve as the cornerstone of our partnership.”
