The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) has elected Steve Meineke, president of Keen Footwear, and
Layne Rigney, senior VP of global sales at CamelBak, to its board of directors. In addition to setting policies and priorities, the board also serves the critical role of guiding OIWC’s overall direction.

“Both Steve and Layne will play a vital role within the organization by bringing new perspectives that will help ensure OIWC continues to elevate the business imperative of talent acquisition, retention, and advancement of women,” said Deanne Buck, OIWC executive director. “We are very pleased to welcome them both to the OIWC’s board.”

Steve Meineke joined Keen Footwear as President June 2014. Prior to KEEN, Meineke served as CEO of Accell North America (subsidiary of Accell Group NV), from April 2013 to June 2014, following eight years as President of Raleigh America, Inc., from February 2004 to May 2012.

“I view OIWC as essential to increasing our industry’s ability to inspire and cultivate the next generation of leaders,” sais Meineke. “Keen is supportive and proactively participating in OIWC’s purposeful mission to foster a balanced workplace with paths to leadership for women. In joining the board, I am committed to ensuring that others are similarly inspired into action by the efforts at OIWC.”

Layne Rigney is currently senior VP of global sales for CamelBak Products LLC. Prior to CamelBak, Rigney held a variety of senior leadership roles within the outdoor, cycling, and sporting goods industries. “I believe our industries are at a crossroads and that a successful OIWC is the key to effectively building and retaining the teams that are fundamental to the growth and sustainability of our companies and the industry,” said Rigney “I am honored to join the team and work to create industry-wide success.”
