Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), in partnership with Outdoor Retailer, will offer more than 40 free education sessions as part of Outdoor University at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, UT.
The program kicks off with the OIA Industry Breakfast sponsored by The North Face on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 a.m. The keynote presentation features athlete Pete Athans and Vice President, American Himalayan Foundation, Norbu Tenzing. Athans and Tenzing will bring to life Nepal’s post-earthquake struggles and how we as the outdoor industry can engage, return and rebuild. Outdoor University sessions at Outdoor Retailer (OU@OR) continue through Friday, August 7, and are included with an Outdoor Retailer registration. All of these education events will be held at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown at City Creek. Some key themes of this summer’s OU@OR are market and retail business strategies, supply chain best practices, product and marketing trends and recreation policy. A few sessions to highlight are:

- How Can Retailers Drive Responsible Business Practices, Thursday, August 6, 3:00 p.m.
