Established in 2007, the Supergirl Pro Series was developed as a showcase for girls in action sports and as a celebration of female strength, independence and empowerment. This year's event is co-sponsored by Paul Mitchell and Snikwah and is expected to include more than 100 top ranked pros from the WSL (World Surf League) Championship tour and takes place in Oceanside, CA from July 24-26.

“We are excited to be a part of SuperGirl Pro and supporting such an impressive group of athletes,” said Snikwah CEO Roy Smith.
The event will feature a weekend filled with surfing, a festival village with female inspired apparel and accessories and athlete autograph signings. Entertainment throughout the weekend includes live music, dancers, fitness classes, inspirational speakers and a food and beer garden.
As SuperGirl Pro's official apparel sponsor, Snikwah will be providing the entire event staff and each surf contestant with an Original Snikwah, which is part of the company's performance line, which offer a UPF 50+ rating, are made from Drirelease fabric and feature a patented, convertible neck with full range head and upper body coverage.
Founded in Naples, FL in 2010, Snikwah has developed versions of the shirt for fishing, boating, skateboarding, surfing,
motorcycling, hiking, and running, kayaking and working or playing
outdoors.
“The Original features a patented, convertible neck that lets the wearer control the level of protection exactly where and when they you need it,” said Smith. “It can be worn down, with the neck extended to cover your mouth, as a full buff or as a hood.”
Snikwah is slated to be awarded the Drirelease Innovation Award in August. The award celebrates innovation in design and construction of active wear that enhances the comfort of participants who compete or engage in high- energy pursuits.
Snikwah will also display its design ingenuity at the competition with a SuperGirl Pro limited edition shirt. Proceeds will be donated to cause partner “Save Our Surf”, which is dedicated to the conservation of oceans and its marine ecosystems. The charity was established in 2008 by actress and philanthropist Tanna Frederick. Frederick has recently been named to Snikwah's roster of brand ambassadors.
