Garmin Ltd. is exploring expanding on a new piece of property it has acquired adjacent to its headquarters near Kansas City, according to a report by the Kansas City Business Journal.
Garmin already employs about 3,400 at its 56-acre headquarters in Olathe, KS, but is considering plans to expand on adjacent property it has recently acquired, according to planning documents on file with the City of Olathe, KS cited by the newspaper.
The Olathe Planning Commission approved preliminary plans April 27 for two projects that would add about 1,200 parking spaces.
