Bell Helmets, which is a unit of BRG Sports, has named Scott Sharples as marketing manager for its bicycle business.

Sharples, pictured to the right, joins Bell with 25 years of industry experience. He  is as a former World Cup downhill racer, and most recently, product manager for Felt Bicycles.  Sharples, a native Australian, is also known for his success as a downhill cycling coach for Cycling Australia, where he created and implemented a downhill race program for the countrys national cycling body. His experience as global sports and marketing manager, writer, media specialist, and brand ambassador will bring incredible value to the Bell Bike team.

Sharples will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Bells marketing and branding objectives, in addition to working directly with its athletes.  He will work closely with Azul Couzens, Bells Director of Marketing, to implement the companys strategic marketing initiatives within the bicycle division.

Scott has an incredible amount of great experience in the bike industry, both as a competitor and as a marketing and athlete manager, said Azul Couzens, Bells Director of Marketing.  Scott will be a great addition to the team as we continue to grow.  Were excited to have him leading the charge for Bell Bike.

While Sharples loves to immerse himself in the job, he still finds time to get out on the bike, spend time with family, and volunteer as coach for his local high school MTB league. His successful history is a great match for Bell while his creative problem solving and ability to deliver in any situation will be a welcomed addition.
