Soccerloco, a leading soccer apparel & equipment retailer, has teamed up with the American Business Womens Association (ABWA) to host an essay contest that gives college women across the nation the opportunity to earn scholarship money.
The Soccerloco scholarship essay contest is intended to inspire women to reflect on how their athletic career has helped them to become a better teammate, leader and person. The scholarship recipient will receive $2,000, presented by Soccerloco on behalf of the ABWA scholarship fund, for use toward tuition and books at the college of her choice. The winner will also be featured on http://www.ABWA.org and in the ABWA magazine.

The ABWA has a true passion for empowering college women through its scholarship fund; a resource intended to provide financial support to aspiring business women. In doing this, the ABWA is enabling these women to work toward a successful life for themselves through higher education.
Soccerloco encourages aspiring business women from all areas of study to enter its scholarship contest. Contestants can enter by writing a 500-700 word essay explaining how their athletic career has helped them to become a better teammate, leader and person. Students are encouraged to focus on how their sporting career has helped them gain critical life experience that can be applied to their academic and professional endeavors. Eligible students must be females who are currently enrolled in college for the 2014 fall semester. The essay must be submitted to scholarships(AT)Soccerloco.com no later than December 19, 2014 by 12:00 midnight Pacific Standard Time (PST). The ABWA panel of judges will review all submissions, and announce the winner on January 20th, 2015. The scholarship recipient will receive $2,000 to be used toward tuition or book expenses at the school of her choice.
