The Great Outdoor Store of South Dakota has become the newest retail member of Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, which provides buying, networking and other services for independent outdoor specialty retailers.
Great Outdoor Store has been the premier outdoor specialty shop serving the Sioux Falls area since 1983.
The store is located in the historic Rock Island Depot, sell outdoor, travel and lifestyle clothing and equipment and is locally owned by DeAnn and James Echols.
The Echols are very active in their community. James is on the board of directors for The Co-op Natural Foods in Sioux Falls, and runs Echols communications, an area marketing company. DeAnn is on the board for Downtown Sioux Falls Inc., (DTSF).
“We are very excited to become members of Grassroots!,” said DeAnn Echols. “We feel fortunate to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that membership offers and look forward to networking with other store owners and managers.”
The members of Grassroots are thrilled to welcome James, DeAnn and their entire staff into our organization.
Grassroots Outdoor Alliance unites 52 independent outdoor retailers with over 100 doors in 29 states, as a strong voice to protect and promote the experience of outdoor enthusiasts across the United States.
