The Philadelphia Business Journal named Dansko Chief Financial Officer Jim Fox as the 2014 CFO of the Year in the Medium Company Category. Selected by an independent panel of judges and sponsored by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business, the award recognizes financial professionals in the Greater Philadelphia region for their outstanding performance as corporate financial stewards.
Since joining Dansko in 2006, Fox has created and implemented financial controls that have served as the foundation for profitable and well-managed growth. He recently worked as the lead internal executive managing Dansko’s transition to a 100% employee-owned company, displaying a commitment to Dansko’s mission of creating a better tomorrow.
“Over the past eight years, Jim has effectively offered financial and executive guidance, as well as an ethical model of leadership,” said Mandy Cabot, Dansko Co-Founder, President and CEO. “From managing controls to serving those around him, Jim exemplifies what it means to build a better tomorrow. We are thrilled to celebrate this honor on Jim’s behalf.”
In addition to financial management and leadership, Fox has displayed a dedication to making a difference, both in the office and the local community. He frequently participates in Dansko volunteer events, recently supporting the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Stroud Water Research Center during a pair of environmental preservation projects.
On July 10, Fox received the CFO of the Year Award during an awards presentation held in The Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia, PA.
