The Finish Line, Inc. has shifted some responsibilities for its footwear and apparel management teams. Jason Short and Mike Watson have been promoted to the position of Divisional Merchandise Manager of Footwear while Kathleen Kaplan has been promoted to the position of Divisional Merchandise Manager of Apparel.
As of Monday, July 14, Mr. Short oversees children’s footwear, specialty, men’s and women’s running, technical tennis, walking and women’s fitness. Mr. Watson oversees men’s and women’s basketball, boots, sandals, athletic casual and men’s cross-training. Ms. Kaplan oversees all aspects of the Finish Line apparel division including the private label division, branded and licensed.
As a result of the internal restructuring, Tim Geis, Senior Vice President, Merchandise, will add to his current responsibilities by overseeing all footwear and apparel buying.
“We expect the promotions and internal restructuring to benefit Finish Line,” said Glenn Lyon, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandise Officer for Finish Line. “Jason, Mike and Kathleen have been leaders in the industry, and Tim is a great fit to lead them. With their combined knowledge and guidance along with teamwork and support of the footwear and apparel staffs, Finish Line should remain on top.”
