Mountainsmith, innovator of cutting edge packs and luggage, announces their partnership with the Trek-Volkswagen Racing Team to become their official pack and luggage supplier. The announcement was made by Brian Bennett, executive vice president for Colorado-based Mountainsmith.

The agreement makes official the partnership that started earlier this year designating Mountainsmith to outfit the high-visibility team with fanny, lumbar, and daypacks as well as luggage. The team is made of world class competitors including two-time and reigning World Champion Roland Green, current UCI (International Cycle Union) number two and three-time World Champion Alison Sydor, 2001 STXC National Champion Sue Haywood, and 1999 XC National Champion and two-time and reigning World Single Speed Champion Travis Brown. Their travels to national and international events will give Mountainsmith exposure around the globe.

“Providing gear to the Trek team is a natural for us. We feel we build the best, most durable luggage and pack gear, gear that will survive the rigors of traveling the World UCI and National Mountain Bike circuits,” stated Bennett. “Were in good company with world class soft-goods equipment sponsors such Nike, Giro, and Power Bar. As the team battles for race circuit dominance and promotional visibility, the partnership will bring diversity to our existing marketing efforts.”
