Bruce Hammond, who served as Director of Marketing & Communications at the National Sporting Goods Association for nearly three years, left the Association, effective Nov. 1, 2013 to pursue his career aspirations at an association management company.

Hammond was responsible for NSGA’s marketing, publications, public relations and legislative advocacy efforts.

NSGA President & CEO Matt Carlson announced the following new staff assignments: Marty Maciaszek was named Director of Communications, in addition to his duties with NSGA’s Team Dealer and Hockey Dealer Divisions. Katie Nemec was named Director of Marketing, Social Media and Special Events.

“We wish Bruce all the best,” Carlson said. “He came to NSGA during a time of change in the sporting goods industry, and he made valuable contributions to NSGA’s continued growth.”
