SKLZ announced that Brian Enge will be assuming the role of president at the company. Enge was most recently an executive at The Active Network and known for his successful tenure as CEO of Zoot Sports.
During his tenure at Active, Enge was responsible for the company’s Consumer Products business and developing programs for active sports participants. Prior to Active, Brian spent five years as the CEO of Zoot Sports, a global leader in endurance sports products, and led the company to its acquisition by K2 Sports in early 2009. Enge has spent fifteen years in the sports apparel and footwear industry with a series of leadership positions including senior vice president of Saucony and president of the Schoffel North America, an outdoor and ski apparel
brand.
“We couldn’t ask for a more ideal fit,” said SKLZ CEO John Sarkisian. “Brian not only has an outstanding track record as a senior manager within the industry, but he has always been an exceptionally driven and accomplished athlete. He fully understands the mindset behind training to improve your athleticism and abilities, and that’s what SKLZ is all about.”
Enge captained the soccer team at Harvard University and went on to play professional soccer (Wichita Wings of the National Professional Soccer League) before returning to receive his MBA from Harvard Business School. He is now a USA Triathlon All-American, as well as a youth soccer coach, both of which continue to fuel his passion for the sports and fitness industry. Enge also serves on the board of the San Diego Sport Innovators (SDSI) with Sarkisian.
“The team at SKLZ has built an authentic brand in a category I’m passionate about, as an athlete, business leader, coach and sports parent,” said Enge. “I’m proud and excited to be part of the team that builds the SKLZ brand.”
