Schutt Sports, the manufacturer of softball protective equipment, has reached a major partnership agreement with the Firecrackers, the softbal teaml. Effective immediately, Schutt Sports will become the official helmet and catchers gear of the Firecrackers. Equipment bags from Schutt will also be part of the agreement.
Founded in 1990, the Firecrackers Softball Organization has its headquarters in California and features 30 teams overall in California, Arizona and Texas. The Firecrackers have become a nationally known powerhouse in the USA and a household name internationally.
We are very excited about this partnership with Schutt Sports, said Tony Rico, head coach of the Firecrackers. Weve always known about the quality of Schutt gear-their reputation in fast pitch is fantastic. But just as importantly to us is the value they place on their relationships and the excellent service they provide their teams. I cant wait to see our teams using Schutt gear.
Part of that gear will be two different custom made helmets for the Firecrackers: a two color painted helmet, along with a helmet finished with the exclusive Schutt Aqua Tech graphics system.
The Firecrackers will give us an incredible platform to showcase our very best equipment and customization capabilities, said Dianne Baker, National Director of Promotions for Schutt Sports. Theyre the most visible softball team in the country. Everyone knows their name and reputation, their Play With Honor motto and their dedication to developing the best softball talent in the country. Theyre everything we look for in a partner. To say that Im happy to have them as part of the Schutt family is an understatement.
The Firecrackers history of talent development is legendary. Over 100 players have played softball at the highest collegiate levels. This year alone, six Firecrackers have committed to D-1 schools, including Arizona, Arizona State, St. Johns and Notre Dame. For 2014 and 2015, nine players have already committed to major programs like Michigan, Florida, Missouri, Washington, UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State.
