The R.L. Winston Rod Company said David Heller has joined the company as VP of sales & marketing.
David brings more than 25 years of fly fishing industry experience to Winston, including past President and Co-Owner of Ross Reels USA / Ross Worldwide Outdoors, as well as serving on the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) board. Following the sale of Ross to 3M, David joined Colorado Based Newdea, Inc. as the Director of Global Development. Newdea, Inc. is an enterprise cloud computing company focused on changing the face of philanthropy through results-based program management; creating greater positive impact throughout the social sector.
For the past two years, a non-compete agreement with Ross current ownership has kept me out of the fly fishing industry, said David Heller. During this time, I remained involved in the industry by volunteering as an AFFTA Advisory Member. With my non-compete recently expiring, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to join the Winston team. There are very few companies in the industry with Winstons immaculate reputation and brand strength. I am honored to now be a part of the Winston tradition.
