Outdoor Retailer recently announced Andy Tompkins will step into the role of National Sales Manager for Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer, while Kenji Haroutunian will move into the Senior Account Executive position for both shows effective May 15. These promotions come on the heels of the recently announced departure of former National Sales Manager, Beth Gordon.
“Beth has made a significant contribution to Outdoor Retailer over these past six years. We are fortunate that Andy and Kenji are bringing their years of combined passion and experience to solidly step into their new leadership roles” said Peter Devin, Group Show Director at Outdoor Retailer.
Andy brings over 7 years of outdoor industry sales experience, an in-depth knowledge of the outdoor industry as well as unrivalled professionalism and leadership to the National Sales Manager position. Andy has been with VNU and Outdoor Retailer since 1996, most recently serving as the East Coast account executive for the Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer Trade shows. Kenji, a 15-year outdoor industry veteran, has been with Outdoor Retailer as a regional sales executive since 1999.
The sales management team of Andy Tompkins and Kenji Haroutunian will continue to serve the accounts for Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer during the search for a new sales associate. Both Andy and Kenji will receive strong assistance by sales assistant Jenna Becker, a VNU Sports Group veteran, in the Laguna Beach office.
Beth Gordon is pursuing an opportunity within the trade show industry accepting a position with Czarnowski, a successful national trade show booth designer, builder and labor supplier.
