Scott Sports, the Swiss company that just bought Italian boot maker Garmont, has moved from using independent reps to its own, dedicated 22-person sales force in North America in anticipation of increased sales of outdoor and winter products.
“As part of our long-term growth plan in Outdoor and steady growth in the Winter market, the newly restructured sales teams will allow us to focus more specially on the growing product lines within each category. Our goal is to expand our reach into Outdoor retailers in both hardgoods and softgoods, providing them with the support and service they deserve,” said Larry Morton.
Greg Ries, a 14-year industry veteran, brings with him a broad background in outside sales and dealer development. Previously the sales manager for Rossignol Apparel, Ries will work alongside the hardgoods sales manager to assist in the growth of Scott Sports, and specifically the Winter and Outdoor divisions. Since starting with Scott, Ries has appointed four new sales representatives to locations across the US, many of them coming from Winter and Outdoor brands. Scott welcomes the team and expects a successful future with them. With a focus on quality and product knowledge, this new team of sales representatives is sure to carry on Scott's tradition of dedicated customer service and supplying customers with superior products.
