Hibbett Sporting Goods, Inc. announced Steve Kowal has been promoted to Vice President, Construction and Property Management. Mr. Kowal was previously Director of Construction and Property Management for the Company.
Mr. Kowal is a 15-year veteran of Hibbett and is responsible for the construction of new stores as well as the upkeep and maintenance of Hibbett’s existing stores. Mr. Kowal will report directly to Mickey Newsome, Hibbett’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Commenting on the promotion, Mickey Newsome said, “Steve has contributed to the low capital investment required in our stores and is responsible for the successful remodel of our older stores. Steve and his team work closely with our real estate staff to open new stores on a timely basis. Given the continued growth in our store base, they are an integral component of Hibbett’s success. This promotion recognizes the hard work, dedication and contributions he has made to the continued growth of our company.”
