Brian Anderson, president of EB Sport Group of Yonkers NY, has been elected to Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) Board of Directors.

“Brian Anderson’s energy, passion and commitment to the sporting goods industry association coupled with his focus on fitness ties in nicely with the vision for SGMA and is a welcome addition to our Board,” said SGMA President Tom Cove.

Anderson will be among the top sports executives and athletes to headline the SGMA's National Health Through Fitness Day on March 7th.   Throughout that day more than 100 leaders from organizations in the sports and fitness industries, as well as well-known athletes, will join together to meet with the U.S. Congress and request support for federal legislation to help this country win its own ‘Battle of the Bulge.’ The event is the SGMA's 13th Annual event and will be held on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

“It's an honor to be elected by the SGMA to serve on the board and help lead the industry’s efforts,” said Anderson.  “I'm eager to contribute to the SGMA’s mission and their ongoing and tireless efforts to encourage people to play sports and to stay active.”
