Sierra Designs announced over the weekend that it will move to the Boulder, Colorado area this summer. All sales, product development, marketing and operational functions that are currently administered in Emeryville, California will be managed in the Boulder area. Ultimate Direction, the leading hydration brand acquired by Sierra Designs in 1999, will also be run from this new location.
Longstanding company president, Sally McCoy, will lead the company through the transition period, then Mark Herbert, the current Vice President/General Manager, will assume the role of president. Mark Herbert, a sales professional with 15 years of experience, has significantly grown influential companies such as Hind and Sugoi.
Sierra Designs cites operational efficiencies and a lower cost of living for its employees as the reasons for the company relocation.
