The Portland Development Commission will host the 2nd Annual Athletic and Outdoor Industry celebration at Union Pine on Dec. 6.
This year’s event will focus on the Power of Diversity as an Industry Game-Changer. The event will feature Laura Swapp, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at REI, as the keynote speaker. Laura will kick off a panel discussion and brainstorming session on developing the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts to drive growth and innovation in the industry-from product design and development to marketing and hiring practices.
Panelists to include:

- Victor Perry, CFS, Sr. Analyst, Corporate Credit – Nike
- Enrique Washington, CEO & Partner – Generator Group
- Daniel Clancey, Founder – Homeschool Snowboarding
The presentation and panel discussion will be followed by networking. An Entrepreneurs/Innovators Showcase will also be on display to highlight local A&O entrepreneurs’ latest products and ideas.
