DPS Skis, a boutique maker of carbon fiber skis for the backcountry, has opened its DPS Ski Salon in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. The Salon compliments DPS’ retail partners in the Salt Lake Valley-and sits adjacent to DPS’ HQ, just off of Interstate 80 en route to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons and Park City.
At the Salon, skiers can demo all current DPS ski shapes and sizes. In addition, the Salon offers: community events, ski, binding, and accessory sales, tuning, mounting, and espresso.
“We are looking forward to sharing the DPS line through our ski salon,” aid Stephan Drake, DPS founder. “This store gives locals and visitors an opportunity to experience the DPS culture through community events and through the skis.”
The DPS Ski Salon plans to become a community pillar for the Wasatch skiers by hosting regular events, including photography exhibitions, book signings, slideshows, film screenings, and social gatherings.
“We want the DPS Salon to be a comfortable a place where skiers come together and share the common vibes and interests that unify passionate skiers,” said Drake.
A Salon launch party will include a preview of the Wailer 99 and Nina 99, a raffle, a short film screening, and beer provided by Epic Brewing.
